HBO Reveals Electrifying Update on “True Detective” Season 5: Jamaica Bay Beckons

In the spirit of creative collaboration, López and team have already been busy. “We’ve created a small writers’ room, hammered out notes on episodes one and two, and broken down the entire season,” Orsi disclosed. The result? A season that not only debuts an entirely new narrative but also weaves in intriguing links to the previous season—just as the first season notoriously wove in to its own mysterious history.Issa López teased in a recent New York Post interview, “Expect some big connections between what is happening in Alaska and the new things that happen in New York. It’s a new story with new people, but there’s an irrefutable thread that ties it all together.”
